Senior pre-season training is set for Wednesdays, 17th and 24th September 2025, at Kingsway Sporting Ground diamonds from 7pm–9pm. These sessions help us shape our teams, so we’d love to see as many of you as possible there. Junior training still TBA.

While the details are yet to be confirmed, we anticipate that the official SENIORS season will commence on Saturday, 4th October. It's possible that a few grades may begin on Friday, 3rd October. With the JUNIORS starting on Friday the 10th  October. We will be sure to update you as soon as we have definitive information.

Looking for more ways to stay active? Robyn’s ‘Keeping in Touch’ sessions run every fortnight on Saturday mornings and Wednesday nights. Details are available on the Vikings Women’s Softball Players and Officials Facebook page.

  • Join me in welcoming Aymee to the Viking Women's Softball Club family. She is wild about softball and is looking forward to taking the diamond in Vikings Green, and sharing her catching talent and knowledge with us this season. Read on to learn a little about Aymee.

    Hi everyone!

I’m Aymee – a catcher in a family of pitchers!

Growing up in a family of four super talented softball kids, I learned quickly that the place that allowed me to fulfil my ball-hog tendencies was to sit behind home plate. Though I’ve also spent a lot of time in the outfield, I’ll take squatting for a couple hours over sprinting after line drives any day.

Softball has been part of my life since I was five through to the age of 19. During this time, I was lucky enough to represent Queensland on state teams and sealed a spot in an international development team. Over the past decade, my career has meant moving around a lot, so I’ve only been able to jump into open women’s competitions here and there.

Growing up in a regional town, I was fortunate to have a coach who made sure I had the best training and development opportunities. His support made all the difference in building my skills and strength, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

Now, I’d love to offer that same opportunity to the catchers of the Vikings Women’s Softball Club – or anyone who’d like to give catching a go. Whether its technical skills, drills to help build your endurance in a game, or just enough to help you figure out how to stop getting smacked in the shins on a drop ball, I’m here to help.

I really look forward to meeting you all and working together!

    -Aymee
