Annual General Meeting 2026/27

As we continue into the new Summer season of softball, it is time to look ahead to our Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Please note that the AGM has been moved to Wednesday 18 November at 8.30pm, and will be held in the undercover area at the Kingsway Clubrooms. The AGM has had to be pushed back slightly due to rain-out of the first week of our Pitcher/Catcher Clinics.

AGM Night

Training will start at 7.00pm as usual, with the shortened 1.5hr training session, finishing at 8.30pm before we move to the AGM. To thank everyone for staying on for the meeting, we will be ordering pizzas for members on the night.

The AGM is an important event in the Vikings Women’s Softball Club calendar and provides an opportunity for members to have their say and help shape the directions for the Club for the coming year.

Committee Positions

All committee positions will be open, so if you have fresh ideas, would like to take on a role and become more involved in the Club, please consider nominating.

Our Committee meetings are generally held once a month, either online or face-to-face, so if you can spare an evening a month and would like to contribute, we would love to hear from you.

Special Resolution - ATO Office Bearer

There will also be a Special Resolution proposed at the AGM regarding the appointment of an Office Bearer for the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) purposes.

The purpose of this appointment is to ensure the Club has an authorised Office Bearer who can communicate with the ATO and obtain information relating to the Club’s Not-for-Profit status, tax affairs and other relevant matters.

Proposed Special Resolution:

“That [Name TBA] be appointed as an Office Bearer for Vikings Women’s Fastpitch Club Inc. for the purposes of being an authorised contact with the Australia Taxation Office, including obtaining information and dealing with matters relating to the Club’s tax affairs, not-for-profit status and associated ATO requirements, and that the Committee be authorised to complete and lodge any required notifications or documentation with the Australian Taxation Office”.

As this is a Special Resolution, it will clearly identified as such in the AGM Notice and dealt with in accordance with the Clubs constitution.

We encourage as many members as possible to attend so we can achieve a quorum and have a good representation of our members at the meeting. If your are unable to attend, you can still have your say by appointing a proxy.

If you have any question about the AGM, committee positions, the Special Resolution or anything else relating to the meeting, please do not hesitate to reach out to a Committee Member.

We look forward to seeing everyone there - and enjoying some pizza after training.

Kind regards

Sharon Perkins - Registrar, Vikings WSC
